I keep saying that the most important when you chose a name is to like it. I crooked a bit the naming convention to have Ilwe'ran has a name instead of Ilwe'ra, nobody ever said a thing (and I bet nobody will ever say a thing).
There are thousands reasons why a character would not follow the convention (adoption, foreigner, memory problems, not wanting to give their true name, etc.) don't let the lore bother you too much and pick one you like
