Seiko was a big, dumb tsundere about her first* crush and he disappeared before she could tell him how she felt. It would not have worked in her favor anyway, he was still hung up on an old flame and they had little in common other than a love of sweets. They are good friends, though.
Learning from that experience, she handled the next one with more maturity (but not much grace) and eventually married Crush #2.
