I guess I could 'accidentally' attend. As a member of the audience, unless other players are particularly persuasive. I know it's meant to be non-canon, but seeing as I havn't attended any RP events yet, I'd rather play strictly to my character's IC behaviour. My character isn't one to seek out this kinda thing but he is known to wander about a lot and get lost and that includes wandering into places holding events like this. So if another player manages to coerce me into staying once I have stumbled along the event (bearing in mind that as I'm playing this one 100% IC, there is a chyance for the persuasion to fail, or nobody reacts to my attendance quick enough for me to stick around), I would be present. Hell, if someone manages to persuade me to actually take part, that would probably lead to some interesting roleplay.
As long as it's past about 5pm GMT on a friday (and no later than 2am), or anything between about midday and 2am GMT on a saturday, I can be there. Maybe on a sunday, but not too late, because I have an early start on mondays (well 9am is hardly early, but I have very poor stamina and fatigue very very easily, so I'd have to log off at about 10pm to midnight GMT, otherwise I'd be too tired to get up any earlier than midday).
The only other thing is ingame location. Gridania and Limsa Lominsa are places my character currently frequents. I spend most of my time in Gridania, but go over to Limsa when looking for stuff to do if there's nothing in Gridania and all my leves are used up. I havn't been to Ul'dah yet and atm, until i reach lv18 and continue with the main quest, i have no IC reason to go there. Although I may reach level 18 before the event occurs so if it is held there, I could still attend. (And this may become even more likely if I am given an RPed reason to visit Ul'dah at an earlier date).
