Mostly, it bothers me on principle. Artists, in my mind, shouldn't be kowtowing to financiers; doing so is basically throwing art under the bus in favor of making money. We already give those with capital far too much control over our society, IMO. But that's a discussion for a different thread.

With that said, I actually like the appearance of the race -- there's actually not a single race in XIV I don't like the looks of.

Also, yes to being able to go barefoot. I really don't like that we can't do that.
