He smiled as she told her adventures in bureaucracy, nodding in agreement with the hardships. When the topic focused back on him, he shrugged.
"Honestly, I couldn't tell you. I do miss it, yes, but if it were a less...hostile group, it may have been more enjoyable." He smirked. "Though, I had no call over my company at the time. All was chosen for me."
He thought for a moment before something that was nagging at him for some time finally made it to the forefront of his mind. "What was... what's childhood like in Ishgard? Or...anywhere, really."
