Nebula watched Cass with a frown but behind that she smiled and felt a calm sense of happiness, Cass was such a free spirit, uncertain and nervous. Yet she was strong, when she had her mind on something she was the strongest person Nebula knew. They complemented each other well she though, for her own confidence was clear, she just felt shy at imposing it. Cass allowed her to do that and feel more centred in herself.
She held her frown at the question, about Eos. "She reflects your own feelings, like a mirror. You could almost think she was your conscience". Nebbs smiled at Eos, "I hope you are keeping her out of trouble."
She did let her eyes scan Cass up and down as the zephyr of the spell dried her off, and she wished that she herself were so pretty but resigned herself to being thankful that Cass at least found her attractive. She had to cover up  a giggle when Cass yelped, it was so cute. It was good that witches were not known for being pretty, you really didn't want all those love sick people wanting love potions to fall for the witch instead, yes she was better being the plain dumpling of a girl from the shroud.
The hug was welcome and Nebula returned the nussling but held the arm with the cakes out of the way. "Yes cakes, we just need a nice place to sit and eat them, I was going to suggest the lancers practice area. You can then explain to me why a grown woman is frolicking in the stream? Or do I not want to know".
While Nebula's tone was stern, her tail gave away the fact that she secretly wanted to do just that, and was wondering if she could use the same excuse.Â
Nebbs looked into Cass eyes, and was intermediately lost in their blue deaths as always, smiled and waited for Cass response.
