While there are no specific rules to elezen surnames, they are generally French sounding, like their first names. Â For example, in Ishgard, the Great Houses are Dzemael, Hallienarte, Fortemps, and Durendaire. Â Interestingly, Estinien, the Azure Dragoon, has a surname of Wyrmkiller, although I'm not sure whether or not it's a sort of title and not the name of his House. Â
