
The temptation to procrastinate about RP and "do the content," for me, comes from the fact that non-RP aspects of the game are generally pretty brainlessly rewarding and require so little effort. You can zone right out and faceroll most of the trials/dungeons, FATE grinding, even much of the game's crafting. It's also kind of antisocial so it appeals to people who are introverted types (like me) and shy away from interaction.
If I ever have an RP opportunity but I'm having trouble "getting in the mood," I just start daydreaming about RPs that I've had that I really loved, and that always makes me want to get something new going.
