I'm planning to start a monthly event where Eorzeas foremost madscientists great minds can get together and discuss and share technological breakthroughs and discoveries. Possible topics include:
1) Technological Methods for Combating the Primal Threat
2) New Usages for Crystals and Materia
3) Reverse Engineering Garlean and Allagan Machinery
Each event would have several presenters, who would share a brief lecture on their discovery, as well as a question and answer session. I already have several people in mind ICly that Evangeline would invite, however if you're interested, please let me know. The first meeting will likely be after the launch of heavensward, but I might as well lay the groundwork now.
