We can acquire one on the way if needed. • Walking shoes • Any notes or books from previous training and reference (If it is at Coralhaus) ~~~~ Dear Lady Edda, Before the longer stay within Gridania, it might be helpful to walk and get in touch with some basics together. I do not understand your concerns about who your peers will be; but I will accept it nonetheless and do what I can to help. With a little tutelage mayhaps your natural talent will shine through to persuade the conjurers for something you will favor more. We can meet in Gridania in the lounge for the airship. We will set out into the thick of the Shroud and I will bring supplies for it. Still, would ask you prepare for walking and the like. Until then, be safe and well. Jancis In the bustle of people going down to the departing airship overwhelmed the amount of apologies and courtesies the conjurer extended to everyone as they moved on before everyone departing could step off the airship. But Jancis had arrived as promised, regardless of how long Edda had to wait. A bright smile came to the conjurer's face as she closed the distance to the bench. She was dressed in something different than her typical leggings and button-up shoes. Wrapped boots and leather pants hung underneath a basic tunic with her own staff strapped to her back. "Lady Edda," A warm voice beamed as much as the smile. "I am so happy to see you once more." Sadly, she wasn't leaving much room for a reply. "Staff, clothes. You are very much prepared. I did try to look through what I could find at the Still Shore before departing. More on, ah, tenant life. Curious. Forgive me, is only curious to my eyes for it is something of an unknown. But the day does not linger we can speak on the way." Jancis continued, not leaving a lot of room as she beckoned Edda to pick up and come with her, traveling up the long staircase, out of the tavern, and down the paths that made the roads of the Hedge City. They made way for the ferry to travel eastward. "Suppose it is not completely unknown; merely different. Walls are constructed out of materials as much as words. Expectations that were set by another. Really, is folly to take them into your heart without invitation. 'The expectations of life depend upon diligence; the mechanic that would perfect his work must first sharpen his tools.'" She smiled again, voice warming as she recited the quote. Finally on the ferry's docks Jancis took a better look at the woman she regarded as a good friend. She was trying to predict what to anticipate, and she realized at this point it was beyond asking for a little lesson. Her plans were darker, literally, and her eyes shone honestly with a concern that she might ask more than Edda was willing to tolerate. More than that trained smile would bear. Or bare.
