For one, I'd think on what sort of character do you want to play. Do you want to be a conjurer? a Mage? a fighter? Why is your character a fighter? look at the lore that surrounds the races of Eorzea. Are they from a tribal group if they are miqo'te. What did they do before and after the calamity?
