On the topic, I think it'd be nice to write down a directory for Ishgardian player-made noble houses, including existing members and perhaps a small paragraph about the family's background (similar to the Xaela tribes). It'd be nice to see players decide to last-name change to join others' houses or maybe engage in business/make alliances, maybe through planned engagements and so on and so forth. I'd love to make the Laucent a known name among the other Ishgardian roleplayers, especially since back my friend and I RPd it in 1.0, it was supposedly to be a rather large family.
To be an interesting, intriguing, well-written character, there needs to be something to allow the audience to relate to them. That is what the problem is with who wants their character to be "perfect". Perfect characters will never be strong, and strong characters will never be perfect, because WE (those who read, who watch, who RP) are not perfect.
"What makes a strong character is how they deal with their flaws, their fears, their turmoils, their troubles that get in the way. That's what makes them relatable." -- N.C.
