Wasn't it someone on the lore team who suggested the NPCs ingame are unreliable sources anyway? :p Don't let one NPC ruin your fun! I can almost guarantee no one will try to play lore-hound on you for progressing your RP over time as opposed to RPing as if everything was frozen in time, because.... obviously it's not, right?
