Show Content SpoilerOne thing I've noticed between the original NIN quests, some MSQ stuff, and what I've done so far of the new NIN quests... there seems to be some distrust within the Domans for ninjas. Doma fell after (at least one) ninja master gave up their secrets to the Garleans, and there's an NPC that clearly states "when Doma fell, it was with your [meaning ninjas] blades in our backs". They seem to be okay with ninjas they're personally able to vouch for or have reputations like Yugiri and her retainers, but an 'unfamiliar' ninja could be viewed with distrust and masters 'forced into hiding' to avoid being hunted by those outside their community/village/social circle. At least, that was my take of things so far. I could be wrong. Show Content Spoiler When Doma fell, the village of ninjas were wiped out thanks to that master. But also because of that master, Garlean gained it's own form of Ninja, the Shadow. While common people may not realize it, or may even and not care thanks to the betrayal, it was most likely the Garlean Shadows that put the knives in those backs, literally. I don't think they would go as far to hunt down a ninja, partially out of practicality. A normal person going to hunt down a ninja? Really? That's a generalization though, I'm sure there are others who realize what happened to the ninja village too. Most of the distrust we see in the Ninja story line is actually from the Raen Au Ra, not the Domans themselves. Othard had ninjas amongst the Raen as well, as we see in the new ninja quests.
