Spoiler 1: What’s your OC’s biggest insecurity and how would they react if someone pointed it out to them?
A: Her magical talent/capacity and people who question her goals pointing out her condition. Being highly sensitive to aether to the point it harms (and could possibly kill) her, she puts extra effort in to prove to others that despite this, she can still be an overachieving mage and scholar. If someone points out her goals are stupid or that she shouldn't practice magic because it's too risky, she gets extremely defensive and offended.
2:Â If your OC wants to buy a firearm, what it might be for?
A: Self-defense. If she wants to kill someone off, she's more likely to hire someone else to do it.
3:Â Does your OC behave differently around different people, if so with whom and how?
A: Sasha is a manipulator, so she acts different around different people for her convenience. If she wants to be perceived as non-threatening to someone, she'll put on the act of the damsel-in-distress, if she wants to intimidate them, she'll act more confident and even aggressive, if she sees someone finds her attractive, she will be quick to use her wiles to get her way. She acts completely innocent to some, while to others, she is seen as little more than a harlot.
4:Â Would your OC want to involve themselves in humanitarian work ? If yes, then for what? If not, then why
not?
A: She would not. Unless it helped someone she cared about or those she deems as vulnerable, she is unlikely to be charitable.Â
5:Â How would your OC generally react to someone being verbally abusive towards them for no apparent reason?
A: Depends on her mood, but more likely than not, she'll be cold and sarcastic. However, should she be around friends, she will pout and ask for their defense, only to make the other person look even worse.Â
6:Â Does your OC have a realistic image of their own intelligence?
A: Â She thinks she's stupid, but she also thinks most other people she meets are more stupid than she is. She may come off as arrogant, but she constantly tries to overestimate her enemies so she isn't caught off-guard. There are times she has scoffed and waved off people she deemed as intellectually inferior, only to have them out-smart her.
Â
7:Â Does your OC have any irrational phobias?
A: Bugs, insects, repties--Unless they are dead, she won't feel calm around them.
8: How is/was your OC’s relationship with their parents?
A: Difficult. Her parents were very demanding of her, especially her mother, who tried to mold her after herself. Her father, while kind, was absolutely whipped by her mother and would pretty much agree with all her standards, even raise them. She loved both her parents, but due to events in her past, she strongly distrusted them to the day they died. While her mother was technically closer to her, she held more affection for her father.
9:Â Does your OC feel a pressure to achieve or are they content and calm with doing what they can at the moment?
A: She's highly ambitious, especially when it comes to research and magical proficiency. Her condition only made her more stubborn towards her goals.
10:Â Does your OC guard their emotions by being tough? If not how would they?
A: She guards her emotions by being fake and cold, but not necessarily tough. She will smile while dying on the inside, but she is unlikely to portray herself as a hero or a leader.
11: How would your OC react to hearing they’re adopted?
A: She'd be happy to know she's not related to her mother, but will probably not believe it since her condition runs down her father's line and she looks almost exactly like her mother used to when she was young.
12:Â What is one of the most primary things your OC feels that is missing from their life?
A: Security. Both emotionally and physically. She has severe trust issues to the point she is somewhat convinced her spouse wants her dead. This isn't true, but she always expects the worst from people.Â
13:Â What kind of situations does your OC avoid the most?
A: Confrontation and any situation that would require her to juggle masks when being with multiple individuals she wears a different mask around.
14:Â If your OC gets into a fight with their best friend, would they wait for their friend to make up with them, or would they try to make up with their friend?
A: Her best friend, or the person she considers her best friend, is someone she has hurt multiple times unintentionally. She's an inherently selfish character, but she would do almost anything to save the relationship with this person, except, perhaps, give up her dreams. She might give up on her goals temporarily and then try to do them behind his back, but that's unlikely to work.
15:Â Does your OC consider themselves a good person?
A: No. She's a bit cynical. Good hearts are a rarity in the world she sees, and while she holds deep appreciation for these individuals, she does not consider herself one.Â
16:Â Is your OC good at giving others validation of their feelings and making them feel understood?
A: Absolutely. Unless she doesn't like the person, she can fake empathy like a champ, even though she can't always see from their perspective.Â
17:Â Does your OC suffer of any mental health issues?
A: I'd say anxiety, but I really think it boils down to PTSD, which usually manifests itself in her distrustful nature and paranoia.
18:Â What kind of intrapersonal values does your OC have? (values about their self, what makes them feel like a valid person)
A: As long as she is achieving something academically or magically, she feels validated.Â
Â
19: What boosts your OC’s confidence the most?
A: Flattery, so long as it isn't obviously false. She loves compliments, especially on her academic work and appearance.Â
20:Â Does your OC hurt others often unintentionally? If yes, how?
A: Yes, especially those close to her. She can be brutally honest and insensitive at times, even selfish and inconsiderate. She doesn't do this consciously, however, and she genuinely regrets it when she realizes she hurt someone she cares about.
21:Â Does your OC hurt others often intentionally? If yes, how?
A: Not often, she's unlikely to bite unless she was bitten first. She does do a lot of questionable things for the sake of research, however.
22:Â How does your OC usually show affection? Are they openly romantic or more restricted with their affectionate emotions?
A: She is rather open about her affection--Unless she doesn't trust the person. Otherwise, it would be fake affection, a means to manipulate others. She's more likely to be cold towards those she doesn't quite trust but she cares about (And has no interest in manipulating them.)
23:Â Does your OC tend to hide something about their personality/essence when meeting new people? If yes, what?
A: She's very deceitful, so she lies about a lot of things. Her biggest fear is probably someone being able to pick apart her masks.
24:Â How would your OC react if they got humiliated by someone in a group of people?
A: She's likely to blush deeply and get flustered and tongue-tied. If it's malicious humiliation, however, she will slither away and plot vengeance.
25:Â How would your OC process the grief caused by the death of a loved one?
A: She shuts herself away from people. Despite being an extrovert, when she loses someone, she prefers to grieve alone.Â
26:Â What is the most intense thing your OC has been battling with?
A: Her condition and the expectations of those she surrounds herself with.
27:Â Does your OC practice any kind of escapism? If yes, what kind?
A: Escapism? The only thing that truly gets her thoughts away from her problems is quite simple: Sex. And magic. And books. But mostly sex.
28:Â How would your OC react if a bully stole their lunch money in high school?
A: Pay the other kids to beat him up. Or flirt with the bully, get her money back, and then fuck him over somehow.
29:Â How does your OC behave on the face of a conflict?
A: Depends on the conflict, she may face it herself, or hide behind others to do it for her. She's also the type of character who runs away from her problems before finally dealing with them. If they become too big/important, she will put on her big-girl pants and get her hands dirty.
30:Â What makes your OC defensive quickest?
A: Criticizing her magical use or research because of her condition. Anyone who points out the fact she is weak/sick/reckless is likely to be met with distaste. Pointing out her lies in a tight situation might make her snap as well.
