Side quests are great but you should continue with the main story quests as much as possible until level gated. Side story quests provide great lore opportunities as well but I think if you have plans to do leveling of other classes/jobs that saving the quests for later is better. Especially since you want the new job right? Astrologian? Save the side quests for when you have it.
