This precedes the Trails of Cold Steel series release this fall/winter? Dec 2015??
Ao no Kiseki and Zero no Kiseki (Trails to Azure and Trails to Zero) are skipped but not off the table.
But for a company like XSEED games, giving us Cold Steel brings us closer to the recent installments without completely fucking up the plots (As the games have been made so that you can play them out of order, they just give different perspectives) as well as not putting games out on well... phased out platforms. Zero and Ao games were developed PSP initially and Cold Steel series for PS4 and PSvita. This means the Cold Steel release is aiming for a tight window.
