A lot. I don't know if any of you played LOTRO (i think it was mentioned earlier, but i cant remember), but the /smoke emote was really cool because you could just stand in a tavern and smoke a pipe by the fireplace. LOTRO is one of the few games i've actually taken a chance at RPing in (because none of my RL friends were there to judge me xD plus im a huge Tolkien fan). I also loved that it was like a sit emote in that it lasted until you moved. I could definitely see A'sili smoking a pipe while watching the sea, or even just standing with his arms folded since he's got that tough loner thing going. I also like the folded legs while seated thing, not particularly for my character, but for anyone. Not everyone sits at a table with their back straight against the chair and their hands on their knees. Has anyone tried sitting like that for long periods of time in real life? it's exhausting. In City of Heroes they went as far as to make like ten different sit emotes for chairs, ledges, flat ground, etc, and multiple for each. There was more than one way to sit in a chair, just like in real life. Also they can program /sit so it works differently when you're next to a chair, why not make a /lean for when you're next to a wall? So many characters idly stand around for hours in games like this, and yet none of them get lazy and enjoy a good lean?Â
I'd love to be able to cross my legs while seated, or fold my arms beneath my chest and stare pointedly at someone.
That was a hell of a rant. Sorry, I'm a big fan of emotes. Which is weird since I don't have much RP experience. (not to get off topic but my emote love comes from my half-RPing to myself when no one's looking. hence, my newfound interest in actual RP)
Another thing that I think would be cool and may have been talked about by developers (maybe...?) is linkshell-owned airships. personally, i prefer a sea ship to an airship, but as long as A'sili's boat knowledge comes in handy somewhere I'll be happy.
Also, I don't know where they're at with titles (im sure they have them), but I love a good title. Nothing fancy like "Ultimate Slayer of All Darkness" but simple things like "Captain", "Lord/Lady", "the Wanderer", etc. would do just fine.
I don't know which of these things were covered already, I didn't read all of this. I got way too stoked when Eva read my mind on standing positions and skipped the other two pages.Â
Sorry that was long.
