Upon review of the record and posts herein, I find that a common trench coat and boots are not only consistent with plausible FFXIV lore, but should be encouraged as a natural extension of basic tailoring patterns one could reasonably expect to exist in a fantasy setting where attire of steam-punk, military, and fantasy origins are common place.
I'm tempted to pick up the coat and boots as a casual Sigurd alternative outfit. Â It would look very dapper.
