I've also heard that, and that the quality is inconsistent (like the Graphite one is pretty universally panned), but this particular one (Color Field) is supposedly one of the best ones. I've also heard the shadows are extremely soft, similar to Lorac shadows.
I've only used Lorac's skinny palette in nude once, on my mother, so I'm not super familiar with their shadows. @__@;
