That's a trope I've grown pretty tired of seeing as well. Not every tribe is going to be a happy-go-lucky fun farm but from the number of bitter Seekers out in the world you'd assume most tribes were just fronts for Garlean work camps.
I'm very tired of seeing that stereotype also. I purposely made Cy the anti version to this. Its a tired trope - oh my Nunh raped my mom, killed my dad, shot my puppy, ate my homework, etc.
Time to come up with something original. This trope is as tired as the red headed Highlander lesbian agressive and the gay Tia.
