Seeing as I know so little about the FFXIV universe, I think picking a pre-established clan is a safer bet than attempting to create my own. On that topic, though: I've seen that it's quite common for groups of Xaela roleplayers to have their own original clan. Is this usually a case of creating new characters under the name of the clan, or is it common for characters to distance themselves from their old clans and form new ones ICly?
