I think Kasi kind of covered what you are asking and I will let one of our lore experts speak to your race question. I would just chime in and say to RP them how you envision them. You can make it lore compliant and still put your own spin on things. I certainly don't think race would be a limiting factor in picking up an IC class of samurai unless you wanted it to be. Maybe that can be one of your personal story arcs is working to be accepted as a lalafell samurai? Anyways, best of luck and I hope to see you around for RP sometime!
