I tried to participate in the original UK promotion and purchased the first of the three magazines required. It didn't arrive with a code, so naturally I sent a gently worded e-mail to the company handling the campaign on Square Enix's behalf. I never got a response, so I tried another couple of times to the same effect.Â

I've been stubbornly doing my part to keep that thread active and the community representatives have been silent. A few early responses of blatant hand waving were made as well as a failed apology that...didn't really tell us why the promotions were cancelled or even if we'd be getting a better deal in the future.
So I'm reluctant to get my hopes up that things will be better this time around. I hope they are, of course, but European players have a track record of being treated badly where this sort of thing is concerned.
