Oi oi, lads, lasses and fellas with glasses~ Zaoka here,once more with another update of current events within the Company.
We’ve recently opened our doors to new recruits and foundourselves closing them just as fast as we received one of our largest intakes since last year. We’d all like to provide a warm welcome to; Drazi Rae, Lallatte Latte, Klynk Wiltkoel, Subtei Noykin, Neyuki Utaura, Valkyrie Pleasant, Beatrix Vronhilde and Zuzura Zura!

Things kicked off with a tale of adventure on the high seas,when the members of Jackal and Hide were hired to serve as armed guard for the crew of the merchant vessel, The Wardens Glory, bound on a voyage to an uncharted island south of La Noscea. It did not take long for trouble to find them, as the group found themselves caught up in a skirmish between two rival Pirate factions. Choosing to aid one of the pirates in the hopes that they would owe them a favour, the Jackals were able to successfully drive off the other faction and continue their voyage unimpeded.

We also hosted our Monthly bar located in the Hidden Falls ofCosta Del Sol, where we saw a great turn out. Special thanks to our performers Mishi, Min and Nara, who provided the entertainment for the evening, as well as Adham, Kaya and Thya who helped serve those visiting the bar whilst I hosted the event. All of you were a great help and the bar wouldn’t have been a success without you!

Though the high spirits brought by the success of previousmissions and much earned R and R at the seaside bar were not to last. The Jackals found themselves saying a solemn farewell to two of their number when they were called to perform another job. Faced with a choice, obtain a weapon for a group of pirates or storm a group of bandits to take out their leaders, the Jackals chose the latter, not wholly comfortable with the idea of arming a group of known pirates. While it all went off to a good start, the Jackals soon found themselves coming under assault from an airship, and vastly outnumbered by their foes. When the dust had finally settled, the Jackals found themselves victorious, though at the cost of the lives of Rhaja and Tailero.

In order to recoup the lost spirits, Kilid called theJackals to the beach of the Mists, where they would take part in the time-honoured Jackal tradition of dodgeball.

In the wake of PAX it didn’t take long for us to hear aboutthe Project: Thank Yoshida initiative. All deciding it was a good idea, we gathered together in order to take a screenshot as a group in order to show our thanks for all of his hard work and wish him and the FFXIV team the best of luck for the release of Stormblood!

With Heavensward coming to an end and Stormblood fastapproaching. There has been no sign of things winding down within the Free Company, as we have had no shortage of events over the past month. Now as we prepare for 4.0 we also find ourselves preparing for travels to Othard and the port town of Kugane. I look forward to seeing what adventures await Jackal and Hide in the coming months as well as what SE have in store for us. Til then, have fun n’ take care all!
