Hi there. Â Glad to see you are enjoying the FFXIV world. Â I'm just starting to get into it myself. Â I'm not trying to take your hello thread on a tangent, but as far as getting up to speed on lore, it can definitely be daunting. Â
While this is a spendy way to get some context and certainly not for everyone, I have to say that I'm really appreciating having the Encyclopaedia Eorzea from Square Enix. Â It's a lovingly crafted book with a ton of information in it. Â Some of it is no doubt a bit spoilery, but I "benefit" from not having the greatest memory for things like that unless they are really big reveals. Â
