Admittedly I did not consider the prospect of cross world options when I was thinking about the concept - since SE has given us the opportunity to do such a thing, with other technologies such as Discord I cannot foreee a reason why you couldn't still be in contact through said services. I'll send you an invite to the Discord server, and hopefully as time goes on you can still get as much from the experience as you please!
