So.. I did a little umm... research for Wildwood surnames using this name generator, which is based on the in-game name generator. This seems to use actual French surnames, while the in-game one just seems to be a "mash word parts together and hope for a french-sound" type name generator lol. HOWEVER, I have not seen any of the in-game name generator names on any of the NPCs... I have found several of the website surnames in-game...
But first, and explanation about what I did: I took a standard piece of lined paper and clicked generate once for each line in the paper and wrote the name down (27 names), with the top part of the page used for "Other" and "special" names; which I will explain later. After I had my 27 names, I clicked generate for 15 minutes and wrote down the amount of times a name on my list popped up.
The names with the with most occurrences are the largest families, while the smallest amount, might be noble/aristocratic/wealthy or even just hick families.
Or it could be the opposite; highest occurrences are the wealthier families (more money -> more food -> more babies).
So with that I give you my list of Wildwood Families!
That's it! It's up to you whether or now you use this information, I like the idea, so I thought I would share it, especially since these surnames are both canon (for the most part) and lore-friendly.
