Seriously? What a douche thing to do. If you connect via a client you can modify your login scripts to where you are just logging in to #FF14RPChat. I took #vanadiel off my login list. If you are using the online clients I think you have to just close out that tab after you log in.
Edit: I just tried to join #vanadiel to see if there was a mod on I could complain to but it's not letting me in that room either. Which is honestly fine, since the #vanadiel room is usually a bunch of pricks talking about all the hookers they've never had in Las Vegas.
Edit #2: APPARENTLY they have banned several roleplayers from the #vanadiel channel. Good lord. Fortunately the people on the #eorzeapedia channel seem much more friendlier anyway, and the general owners of ffochat.com don't have an issue with us..

<charitwo>if you're only here for the rp channel, then we don't need you join flooding #vanadiel
<charitwo>the reason is you clearly don't want to be in the channel, as you leave immediately after joining, so i am circumventing the force join
So, he's banning RPers that don't want to use the #vanadiel chat room but are getting force connected upon log in.
