You may have trouble transferring, as the server's usually full, but it tends to open up late at night/early morning EST. And as far as I'm aware, role-players are coming and not leaving. If you browse around a lot of recent threads on this site, new players are coming to Balmung or anticipating transferring here, and I know my free company has several role-players planning to transfer to Balmung from other servers.
