It seems all right by me, though I am but one RPer. There is some precedent already in place as the lady of Haukke Manor is clearly a wealthy duskwight woman. I have used that to defend the fact that Eva's father was a wealthy (though not in the traditional flaunty manner) duskwight that lived in the Twelveswood/Gridania. So I don't think what you are suggesting is without merit and it seems like you've already put considerable thought into it.
