Thank you all for your replies! This thread seriously got more attention that I thought it would. 
 Just to clear up any potential misconceptions, I have no issues with "sorting" said situations, I simply thought after a particularly enfuriating encounter to gauge how the rest of the RP community handles and thinks of such things. Truly enlightening, I must say.
