Same thing happened in WoW, in SWTOR, in TERA. The only games I haven't seen it happen in were RIFT and GW2, because Trion is well-loved by its fans and because I didn't actually play GW2 enough to see it.
Yeah, I haven't seen it in Rift either (been poking that a bit, checking out their patch). Â But you're right - I've seen it every other game I've played in, too. Â I just don't get it. Â What I find funny is that I rarely see it in the most hardcore players. Â They literally don't care because they got what they were after when they cleared it in the first place. Â They don't care about the gear, and they don't care about other people seeing content they've already cleared. Â They only care about new content being released for them.
