So it's more of a community event than an RP event.
It's a cute idea, I'll admit. However, I see the 'removal of the veil' so to speak, as more of an risk factor for harassment than it is a courtesy for the comfort of the non-roleplay community. I also feel that the sort of player that would be uncomfortable  homophobic (truth is, being uncomfortable is homophobic) is the sort of player that wouldn't bother with this sort of event to begin with.
