I see what you mean by that, both of you bring some very interesting points up. Though I know that RP sessions can be very long and exhausting, i think what im trying to bring forth is some kind of hybrid between OOC and IC (Im a heretic and should be slain for my blasphemy, i know) Where, you're constantly in character, but you dont have to be actually DOING something, a kind of light RP, ((for example: U'lcer and U'mbrella happen to see each other in Horizon, they salute each other and begin talking about the weather in Thanalan of late)) To have no barrier between RP and OOC, basically, letting the whole game be one gigantic RP. It sounds difficult to acheive honestly because everyone has their own way of seeing things and of course there would be drama, but sometimes a little drama goes a long way!
I find this discussion VERY interesting actually, its somewhat like a clash of two worlds and im very much enjoying discovering the status quo in roleplaying on FFXIV.
