Well, considering know one really knows me or anything since I'm still a less-than-100-posts newb ("You don't know me! You don't know me! You don't know nothin'!"), I doubt the community will be either surprised or unsurprised with whatever I put up.
Nevertheless, I may as well pick the music I listen to that most people who do know me double-take at when they hear I listen to it.
In particular? Despite being about as ghostly as Casper in the skintone department and also fitting the WASP stereotype to a T (minus the Protestant part), my playlists are filled to the brim with old school hip-hop (or modern tracks inspired by it), jazz music (both nu and classic), and J-Hip-Hop (think Samurai Champloo; Rest in Peace, Nujabes). There's a few "mainstream" items, however.
(I don't use LastFM, sadly, so I'm basically winging this list. Sample song for each artist/group, too.)
1) Nujabes - Imaginary Folklore
2) Giant Panda - Strings
3) Sound Providers - Autumn's Evening Breeze
4) People Under the Stairs - The Breakdown
5) The Hours - Ali in the Jungle
6) Carl Sagan ft. Stephen Hawkings (you heard me) - A Glorious Dawn
7) Dj Krush - Candle Chant
8) Blue Scholars - Sagaba
9) Anamanaguchi - Another Winter (Scott Pilgrim)
10) m-flo - Prism
11) City and Colour - Sleeping Sickness
12) Frou Frou - Let Go
13) Miles Davis - 'Round Midnight
14) Dave Matthew's Band - #41
15) Amy Winehouse - Procrastination
It doesn't help that most (see: all) of my friends are exclusively in to metal, or hard rock, no exceptions. I don't exactly have many/any friends who have such an eclectic music variety.

A friend to the end to depend on you can.
I walk through the sea, swim through the sands.
To the edges of the earth, to your rescue when you hurt,
Only thing I learnt is I'm not Superman.
