I couldn't disagree more. From experience, more players leads only to bad things: griefing, lag, and overcrowding. Sure, you might be able to find a group a bit faster, but that benefit is strongly outweighed by the penalties (particularly since groups are no longer required).
And personally, if the difference is between waiting 30 minutes to log in, and waiting 30 minutes for a group, give me the latter every day. At least I can spend that time doing something in the game.

The serverwide economy is already tanked due to the lack of an auction house. Even progression is a no-op given the current direction the game is taking. Let's look at the benefits we really want for this communtiy - a good environment in which we can promote roleplaying - before we look for qualities the game doesn't support yet.
