I really don't want to mess this up, so I have a few questions, I hope I'm not being too annoying!
I read the RP Handbook, but I still have some doubts!
So here are some questions!
1. Do I have to make a wiki page for my character? and if I do, do I put all my bio in there or just leave some stuff out that I may reveal later to some players?
2. Is it o.k. if I make my character come from a rich family? not necessarily politically influential or powerful, simply rich. Even though my character actually does not get along with her family.
3. Where do I even start Roleplaying in Balmung?Â
I'm transferring there tomorrow so I don't want to mess up!!
And last, but not least:
My character is supposed to be very magically powerful (seeking to become an archmage, she has mastered Arcamina and Conjury, but has yet to master Thaumaturgy.) but very squishy and with a tendency to burn through her mana quickly (sometimes going as far as using her own life source as mana, leading to many near-death experiences), as well as randomly having her mana pool drain itself (she has yet to discover why) which leaves her defensless against any attacks (and though she's by no means physically weak, she is nowhere near a skilled fighter, so all that's left for her is to retreat).
So the question is, is she too OP? Or too weak? Or is this o.k.? I don't plan to fight any RPs since my character dislikes conflict all together, but if the opportunity ever arises, I don't want to have fingers pointing at me for abusing power or anything.Â
I won't bother echoing Faye and Shay, as they both hit the nail on the head. But I would say welcome mage, glad you decided to join us. You will have fun, just remember to find good people to start with who will help you better your rp without judging you. Early on you may as was said "step on toes" especially where magic lore is concerned when you get the first pm spanking all rpers get their first time out, don't let it get you down, take it in stride and try to have fun A wise man once said, "Remember, I'm pulling for you. We're all in this together."
