I was being impatient and rolled my Miqo'te Seeker based on my earlier RP characters, before I read about the naming conventions. So I decided to make it into his story somehow, something on the lines of him leaving his tribal life behind and starting anew in Limsa Lominsa in search of knowledge, giving himself a new less "tribal" surname and left the first letter in his name.Â

So V'otte Tia became Otte Dreamwalker. I'm not sure if it's good enough reason to have a unconventional name though...

Like others I decided to go with a unconventional name. At first I was a bit worried that I had just created one of the greatest sins in the FFRP Community (like naming yourself Skywalker in SWTOR).

I am glad to see so many others have done the same as me, and that it can and will in most cases be accepted if there is a backstory to the name, which I have already created.
