Hi! Assuming I can ever get on Balmung (hrrggg), I'm new here and I'm super excited to get my teeth into the RP community! It looks like it's lively and creative, and I've been absolutely dying for a great community like you guys seem to have here!

I'm a vet from ye olde SWG and WOW RP, with around ten years under my belt at this point. Yikes. FFXIV is new to me, but I've been at this a long time! Looking forward to learning, too.Â

I was wondering - are there any collected racial lore threads or pages? I poked around the roleplayer wiki and the main one, and around this site, but couldn't find much of anything. I've got a pretty serious interest in playing a Sea Wolf, a Seeker of the Sun, and a Hyur in nearly equal measure - suggestions on what's most lacking in the community are welcome, but links to lore resources I might have missed are even more welcome so I can pick the one I like the best! (Or can find the most about.)

Lalafell are the best race but since those weren't listed YOU SHOULD DO A ROEGADYN OR A HIGHLANDER

Joke's on me, I *did* roll a Lalafell. Well, at least added her to my lineup. I've got a problem, and it's character ideas.

At 12 AM (midnight) PST (pacific USA), the servers will be coming off maintenance

Make them then, you're almost guaranteed to get in.

Those are all things I've been referencing, but it's nice to have them in one place if I need to reference them again!

I guess I should've been more specific. I was wondering if there was some collected place where the community collated information from within the game, or fanon that is generally agreed on? I just like having as much information as possible before I go into something!

OH-KAY sorry, meant to reply last night but my laptop has been giving me some S E R I O U S issues with my screen so it's taken awhile, sorry about the delay. >n<;;;

If you're wanting some more lore specific info that the community has mostly agreed on; check the wiki we have *points to the link right under the main banner on the page* That should have more of the type of info you're looking for. Also if you're unsure of something, never be afraid to just out and ask by making a thread or asking whoever you happen to be chatting with (either in game or on the forums). Let them know you're new to rping/ffxiv and I'm sure you'll be swamped in helpful replies. c:
