Breitak Zod - The Mercenary (WAR)
Strength: 3 Dexterity: 0 Vitality: 1 Constitution: 1 Intelligence: 0 Mind: 0 Piety: 0 Skills: Mad Enhancement Short-tempered and violent, he is always one annoyance away from a murderous rampage. Weapon Master + 1 A (relatively) long life spent on countless battlefields has allowed Zod to use and master many tools of war, granting him a +1 attack roll with any physical weapon. Gets the Job Done +1 Any mercenary will develop a reputation over time, and Breitak is no exception. Despite his bloodthirst and violent tendencies Zod always finishes a job he's hired for. Even if reduced to 0 HP Breitak can continue to fight for 1 round. Veteran of War +1 You don't get to middle age as a professional mercenary by being easy to kill. +1 to Defense rolls.

Just posting to confirm that Emerald is indeed my partner.
Also, given the changes to the stats, I'd like to request that the two point from my Vit be moved to my Con, and that I change the Magic Resist trait to the Mind's Eye trait. If possible. If not, that's cool too, but just seeing if I could get an adjust given the splitting of the stats.

I've just made the changes to your profile! @Laika Thanks for making a profile! May your wish guide your path. Accepted! @Emerald Due to the way the mechanics have been set up, skills or spells that deal more than 1HP worth of damage have an appropriate cost and cannot be a passive. If you want to have a +2 to damage modifier it will have to be an active skill with a high MP cost and a minimum of a 5 turn CD. To provide some examples:

You receive a +4 to initiative roll and your first attack if it is a sneak attack or ambush of some kind. Hiding in plain sight - The scourge has made a business out of surprise and discord on the battlefield. With years of pilfering, evading and escaping being the sole thread keeping him one step ahead of his enemies, Opportunity is the Scourge's biggest weapon. Allowing him to blend in with crowds or even stay hidden amongst the most vibrant Scenery. Knowing when to play his cards, fold, or flip a table, the scourge always has an ace up his sleeve. Allows you to be considered disengaged from combat if opponent loses track of you. -2 Mp.

Second Night: Clash of Titans
Guided by the Atheneum's machinations and fueled by their own bloodlust, two colossal titans exchange blows in Ul'dah. Their axes cleave through flesh, bone, and wood. By its end, the tavern's sandrock walls are splattered with the gore of those unfortunate enough to find themselves caught within the maelstrom of steel and aether. When the dust finally settles, Jarben Raret stands, barely alive even as his entrails threaten to spill out. As Breitak Zod dissolves into red motes, he swears his vengeance against his killer, cursing him to his last breath. By the time Brass Blades and Immortal Flames finally arrive, Jarben vanished into the shadowed alleys, supported only by his own will and the Atheneum's rejuvenating powers... The War's first of many causalities. "O'Chosen of Eorzea, may your victories be swift, your enemies crushed, and your dreams realized."

Third Night: Sparks Liner High
Shortly after Jarben Raret finally meets his partner, Clovey Clover, Varus Rosenthal and Anita Aezantia meet to discuss an alliance. Unfortunately, negotiations soon break down and the second battle of the War begins. A fierce display of fire and Aether gouges Clover's heart from her body and soon, Jarben's fist crushes Varus' skull. A fierce flurry of strikes between Anita and Jarben closes the battle. Like a mountain against a tidal wave, Jarben weathers the swifter swordswoman's blows and returns them in kind. However a final, Aether infused thrust from her sword would snap the berserker's axe in twain and continue to pierce his heart. With a brutal flourish, Anita cleaves the man in half as she withdraws her sword and stomps Jarben's grinning skull even as his body disappears into the Aether to be restored by the Atheneum.... "Good or evil. We care not.Â

Kudos to Breitak Zod for playing the Atheneum War straight. Literally walked up to Varus and Anita while we were RPing with our group of friends and almost started a battle with a bunch of bystanders going WTF IS GOING ON??!?!?
Was amazing. The atmosphere was intense as fuck as Anita and Varus told everyone to run for their lives.

Day Four: Survival
Taken from the personal logs of Gunther Wallace: After three days of research failed to yield any meaningful knowledge about the brands or our games mysterious host, I have decided to take a more proactive approach to the situation. The network has been watchful while I've been shut into the archives. Reports have come in of two roegadynes wielding axes, tearing one another apart in the Quicksand. Another report has indicated a mage and a woman wearing armor and using a strange blade entered a lethal altercation with a roegadyne wielding an axe, and a woman using a bow. Witness reports lead to the conclusion that this roegadyne was the same one who emerged as the victor from the Quicksand. All but the knight were KIA. Assuming that these people are similarly branded, it's fair to say that the hunt has long since begun. With reports of teams flowing in, I felt it wise to find my own teammate. The mark was quite helpful in this endeavor. Led me straight to him. The one I was led to was the archer thief from the meeting. Sanzoku. I had my doubts walking into the meeting, but after a few tales of the past were shared, common ground was found. Never have I felt so fortunate to be a reformed criminal. He agreed to join me in defense against these fools who truly believe that some magic toy is going to 'grant their wishes'. Give me a break. This fiction that our greatest desires can be granted is no more true than the tale of Z'alladin and his Cave of Wonders, or the stories of the Sky City of Shevat. But others seem to believe it, and they are leaving a trail of bodies in their search for this false hope. This is what cemented the alliance between Sanzoku and I. We have no interest in wishes or false promises, but if any attack us, we will defend ourselves. If they attempt to hunt us, we will retaliate. Sanzoku and I seem to share the sentiment, that things would be best if life got back to normal. United, we will defend ourselves and outlast this madness. Survival afterall, is what men like us are best at. -G.W.
