With the open beta of World of Warships upon us, I thought I'd make this thread

I have an endearing love for all of the world of _____'s and the ship game is my favorite so far. For those not familiar, you fight in giant team battles against the enemy, gaining credits and experience to upgrade your ships.Â

Every nation has a tech tree, though currently only Americans and Japanese are in game. Everything is modeled in great detail, including armor, speed, shot arcing and etc.Â

If anyone else plays let me know! We can form a division sometime (I'm horrible so be warned)

These games have always caught my attention (I nerd out over british tanks due to my mother being a former driver of one), but I've never had the chance to start playing due to having a crappy PC. Now that I have a better one, I've been tempted to take a look.

They're pretty fun!

Totally free to play, and you don't lose out on much by not spending money. You just gain XP and Silver at a lower rate. It's a bit of a crapshoot on games though, as sometimes your team can be really good or really bad.

After playing "Diamond Tier" League of Legends for 5 years (To think I even dared to hit Diamond for 3 seasons...don't do it. It's stressful.), I think I have tough enough skin to handle another game where the odds of getting bad teams are greater than good!

Probably set this all up when I sleep, since my peasant barely 12mb/s speeds doesn't like it when I download something and play FFXIV at the same time.

Depending on whether people play on EU or NA servers, I'd be game for some good, organised platoon work, sometime!

Tanks: Â Along the British line, I'm working on getting the second turret for the Centurion 7/1, and suffering through the Black Prince grind towards the Caernarvon.

With the Germans, used to have a E-75, but ended up selling it and working along towards the Jagdtiger. Â I'm in two minds about going back to the E-line, still, to be honest. Â Also used to have a G.W. Tiger P that I'm pondering getting back, but for the time being I'm playing around with a li'l ol' Grille. Â Also pretty close to unlocking the Indien Panzer, have a T-25, an E-25, and a Pz.Kpfw S35 739 (f).

Along the Sovient line, it's pretty limited. Â An SU-100Y, and the almighty Tetrarch. Â Very tempted to get the derpmeister KV-2 back, that was really rather good fun...

Oh, and the M-24 Chaffee from the 'murican line, and the Type 95 Heavy for the Japanese.

In short, can join you in just about any role, and more than happy to do so :3

Warships, it's a more spartan selection. Â The Arkansas Beta, Wyoming, and Cleveland from the 'murican line, the Mutsuki for the Imperial Japanese Navy, and the rather wonderful Warspite from my home nation. Â

Really hoping the British line makes it in before the Russians, but not going to hold my breath.

I don't suppose anyone's considering Armored Warfare, are they?

Would SOÂ have nabbed a Tirpitz if they didn't try to bundle it with gold and premium time to inflate the price : /

But, that seems to the done thing for them, now. Â It's happening to the new tanks, too.

Same with me as well, I don't really care about premium/gold really. Just the ships themselves.
I love my Atlanta, but I'd never have purchased it as a package. I bought it when it went on sale.
