Introduction & About Us

The Golden Sands is a free company founded by Mikh Tayuun to address the need to help Eorzea as a whole, and Ul'dah in particular. They deal with any job that is requested of them, and work somewhat as middle-men and problem solvers. They also take a secondary role in protecting Ul'dah from itself, and making sure no one that is truely terrible rises to power if they can stop it.

From saving your lost chocobo, to deal with bandits that are plaguing your caravan, The Golden Sands are here to help you.

The Free Company is based around eastern standard time.

We recently transferred mostly intact from Gilgamesh, and are looking to start accepting Balmung players into our ranks! There's been some slight changes to our FC due to the fact that we no longer have a house, but we're slowly working on building up enough funds to buy one.

The FC is comprised of the FC itself as well as an IC linkpearl titled "The Drifting Dunes", and it is primarily for company and contact use. If you're looking to hire some adventurer's for something, or use us in your FC plot, please contact either Mikh Tayuun or Enja Niuhali to give us some details.

As a company we ourselves attempt to follow the lore where-ever possible, and so if your character is too far outside the lore, we may refuse to invite you to the company. There is some wiggle room on this issue, but we simply wish to keep things as close to it as possible, and ask for your understanding on this matter!

It's that time of year again. A thread bump and a housing photo dump update!

After spending a few moons living between the various Inn rooms throughout Ul'Dah it time to say no more! Consequently the timing had started to line up with the company coming back under the good graces of the Immortal Flame. Without a second thought the leaders came together and made those wishes comes true.

Then give or take a few lazy moons of members just laying around the house... Bums! Yall have a proper roof again! Let me decorate! :p

First up welcome to the little Oasis that is our front yard. Come and enjoy a nice breeze by the pond with our chocobo's contently Kwehing away.

Stepping inside the main focus of the company grabs your attention to the right. Two (mostly) helpful NPC's will help direct you to the current job listing or call up a company representative to perhaps write up a custom job for you. (Look at that awesome place for a fish tank perhaps...)

Heading up the stairs a little you start to get a nice view of the lounging area quest and members.

Working out way to the top of the stairs we have a company only private area. We have a decent bit of books from various topics all mostly provided by our wonderful leader... Though don't be confused when some have a mix of raised braille like text. We have the back offices for the big red boss and her purple sidekick.

Now taking a big a flip on direction we take a peak downstairs to the company only area. What does ever good adventure want? A bar stocked full of tasty drinks and a kitchen providing hot tasty meals. Oh hey look! It's all staffed up for those needy few! Note that one of those barrels totally has 'Enja' stamped on it.
