Hello!!
I was hoping to reach out to the community at large to discuss resolution to tasks/combat. More specifically, I was seeking different perspectives on what has and has not worked, and what has and has not proven to be more fun in the grand scheme of things.Â
I don't, personally, want to deal with complex character sheets/point buy because if I wanted to do tabletop RP, I would do tabletop RP. However, I also recognize the merit in having a system to assist when you have two people who want different things in an interaction and it would come down to some form of roll off.Â
I know that flat rolls can be employed in this, but it can also be frustrating for someone who, ICly, specializes in this field getting a 50/50 chance against someone who's kind of a novice.Â
What methods do you employ? What have you enjoyed historically and what systems have you seen that have and haven't worked for you and why?

So you don't want to weigh it down with too many details. ![[Image: utfF6OQ.gif]](http://i.imgur.com/utfF6OQ.gif)
