Think everything nice has already been said. It's still just pleasant to be around like-minded and friendly individuals, a nice breath of fresh air to come to after a long and tiring day.

This has been the most friendly, open, and accepting community of roleplayers I have ever had the pleasure of walking into as a complete stranger to everyone. I have never made friends as fast as I have here nor ever been integrated so quickly into the community.
I know that there will be arguments, disagreements, and the usual trouble brewing under the surface somewhere, but I firmly believe that, no matter what, this community is comprised of good people who will never allow such clashes to affect what matters most--treating each other and all newcomers with respect and good cheer. Let's continue to support one another going forward so I can get my three-year commitment badge too! (Six for some of the rest of you, hehe.) Three more years! |

Most of the things I wanted to say have been already said, including the initial qualms on what the community will be like. While the forums I joined before weren't terrible towards me, there was this air of "I don't know you, I don't care about you" and were generally cold towards newcomers (and even to each other). Needless to say I didn't get that here. It's mainly because of how friendly people are here that I try to be as active as I can (more active than I've ever been in previous forums actually).Â
I'm glad to be a part of this wonderful community. Thank you so much for accepting me. :] ..buhh I don't know how to quote in the middle of a post. orz Lemme copy-paste.. like in the olden days... Posted by Uther - 07-04-2013 12:14 PM "..I'm glad I found a gaming community that I actually enjoy being a part of. People like you all are the reason I want to settle in FFXIV and stop MMO-hopping." I realized just now that RPC is one of the reasons why I decided to go ahead and get FFXIV (I'm a pretty casual gamer who mostly stuck to F2Ps haha...-looks away-). And the statement above reflects exactly what my thoughts about this game are at the moment. :] RP Profile || Art Thread

You know what I like best about the RPC? It's like we're all in an open air coffee shop, sipping our drinks, chatting about the world, and waving new people over to say hello, give them a free cup or two, and sit them down so we can listen to their stories and insist that they put in their two cents on the discussion so we can expand our horizons.
I've never across all the MMOs I've played (going all the way back to EQ1) met such a great, open, welcoming, and most importantly mature group of people, and I'm proud to be a part of it. tl;dr: Much love to all. The Freelance Wizard
Quality RP at low, low prices! ((about me | about L'yhta Mahre | L'yhta's desk | about Mysterium, the Ivory Tower: a heavy RP society of mages)) |

Thank you, RPC, for giving me a home on the Balmung server in which I can find some of the best roleplay I have ever found. Thank you, RPC, for helping me become a better roleplayer. Thank you, RPC, for giving me a community in which I feel comfortable around Okay, seriousness... The RPC is one of the best communities I have ever been in. Every guild I have been in on WoW? It fell apart due to drama and died. This community... Yes, we have arguments, but we truly are like a family and do not let that separate us. We get over it and go on, being friends just the same. And truth be told? I consider some of y'all as close as family. The ones I don't? We just need to talk more. I promise I have no grudges against ANYONE here. Again, thank you, RPC. May we roleplay on till the end of Eorzea. Quote: |

Also, I like the RPC better than any other community I've been a part of, and I haven't even RPed with anyone yet! I can't wait until phase 4! Everyone here has been so welcoming to me, and all the other new people! And for that I am grateful, Namaste! <-Obscure reference... Phase 4 can't come soon enough! for all~
You're all amazing. While we have our share of drama and disagreements from time to time, the community always comes together in the end. Everyone ultimately wants what's best for the RPC, even if they may disagree on what's best every now and then. But we've continued to persevere through everything so far, which says a lot on its own. I sometimes hear RPers from other MMO communities mention how dramatic it is over here. To them (and I know some of them are reading), I only have this to say: Hello pot, meet kettle. The fact that some want to pretend that they don't deal with the same exact issues is hilarious to say the least. Every MMO's RP community (and even regular communities in general) has their share of drama after the initial honeymoon period. Thanks to all of you for your continued support to this community. It is because of all of you that RP in Eorzea can continue to thrive openly. Here's to years of memories yet to come! |

Sure we seem to have drama when all one reads is the drama is... but we have fewer of them, feewer threads locked and less intense drama than any other mmo community I've been part of. And I'm allowed to politely stir the pot every now and then without being branded a heretic!
I tell you guys, this is like the ponyville of mmo communities. Love and tolerance for all! |
