This stuff makes me consider not even bothering with this game anymore. Every time I (manage to) play, I find more flaws. And each one is tiny, but as a whole, it's getting more and more difficult to look past. I was able to just put with them, but closing character creation all the time like this? Not acceptable. If they can't even handle traffic like this, I dread what will happen in the long run. Another statement I saw them make was about speech bubbles guaranteed not to come, because it it's too intense on their hardware. If that is intense on their hardware, I'd rather put my time in non-sub fee based games which do support simple things like that.

I'm probably saying all of this because I'm genuinely angry at the moment though, so I'll see what I decide later.

I'm kind of with you, the login issues are really frustrating. I'm going to see if I can create a character on Balmung or log into Gilgamesh tonight, or I might just take a break from the game.Â

For the Faerie people, which server did you migrate to?

At this time, no characters on Gilgamesh or Balmung can be made.

They're opening and closing character creation as the traffic waxes and wanes. They got hit with a lot of characters/log-ins so they closed it. Once that traffic is diverted to other servers, it'll open back up again.

I'm so pissed off about this damn game, but I really want to play it so i'll be patient. I mean really...its a week tops that i'll have to wait to get on Balmung. But you can be damn sure that i'm going to petition them for another 7 days of complimentary gametime since I can't enjoy it with my friends at the moment. I woke up at 9:30AM CST but nope...Gilgamesh and Balmung were already locked out. :/ Lets hope they're unlocked by the time I get off work at 9:30PM!

I work early mornings, so I can't stay up late, and waking up at 3 or 4 just to hope the late night people/west coast people are in bed and I can make a character isn't feasible. I'm glad for those of you that could and got in one of the two, but they're locked for me at the moment, and "peak" usually lasts until I need to sleep sadly.

In fact, ALL the servers are locked to new character creation when I try other than the new two.

I'm so bummed because all of my friends are on Gilgamesh and Balmung; I woke up perhaps an hour later when this was announced and I was already too late to make a character. Frustrated

I hope someone is kind enough to post a message like this again when it is available; I'm setting the phone alarm for at least 4 am so that maybe there will be a fighting chance. Guess I'm stuck on Bahamut for now~

It's 2:45am where I live at the moment. Luckily I'm a night owl and slept for a couple of hours to recharge. No luck so far - Balmung is locked up tight but some of the other servers are open when they weren't earlier. I''ll hit the 'update server status' button every few minutes for a while and go back to bed if it doesn't open up within an hour or two.

My collective family had exceeded our monthly download limit, so my Internet was agonizingly slow. It was scheduled to reset 5 hours after the maintenance finished. Balmung was closed, Â but I managed to create a character on Gilgamesh (although Balmung was my preferred server). Then I got error 3102. And above all that. When I initially logged in, the two characters I had already made on other servers had vanished. Sigh.
Well, I promise that I will never give up. No matter how long it takes, no matter how much sleep I have to give up, Arc will be created on Balmung!
Until then, look for Leon Maxwell on Gilgamesh. I hope everybody who has yet to create a character on one of these servers succeeds soon.

The number of open servers decreased slightly. I'm trying to figure out what the most likely time would be for Balmung to be 'quiet'. By the time people over on the NA side of the fence prepare to sleep a lot of EU players are just waking up. If I can't get on by the weekend I'm sorely tempted just to go to a different server entirely and hope that I'll be able to transfer over the Balmung in the future.

Thanks for the advice - more of the servers seem to be open currently so I'm hopeful that Balmung will be free soon.
