Desired Purchase Date/Time: This is sort of a trick question, given that we don't know how much houses are going to cost. Looking for: We're recently reforged and setting up, and really have no set preferences on what FCs we'd prefer to have as neighbours. Mostly, the idea of RP neighbourhoods appeals because a few of us saw it work well with Aion's housing ages ago, and we're hoping to see it happen here.

I am kinda worried about how this is going to go with the auction system, however that's how Aion did their housing system when they brought it out, and for the more part, we did end up with a lot of RPers getting into one area of the town sections they had set up. Their housing wasn't exactly instanced the same way though, so it's a bit more of a toss up here. Well worth the try though!

Not sure how many people have read the new letter that was released today. Here's the estimated STARTING Prices for land on Balmung server.

Small 20,000,000 -25,000,000
Medium 75,000,000 -93,750,000
Large 250,000,000 -12,500,000
Balmung

I know my FC, Equilibrium, will now be waiting quite a bit longer than originally expected, just wondering if these prices change anything else for some of the other FCs on timelines of when they would be getting their houses.

But it's safe to say that Lansquenet will be holding up for a fair bit until prices become more affordable.Â Balmung is a legacy server, and while there might be certain groups out there with the ability to afford it, as recent transfers, we certainly will not be able to.

They very specifically said that it will drop 14% every six real-world hours, but will max out (in terms of how far it drops) at -50% after 90 days.

Unfortunately because of the price for Balmung, Ul'dah Garden will be unable to ever buy a house. I am very disappointed in SE on this decision.

The BLC is out of the housing game as well for the foreseeable future. Â Unless the amounts are adjusted or we start getting -massive- amounts of gil in the new quests it'll take...god, a year or more to afford a large plot and that's if we farm 24/7.

It's a typo; the patch notes are hilariously full of them. It drops 0.14% every six hours.

Yeah, I realized that after I posted. Â What's more, it's not exponential. Â It's literally like 28k off the 20 mil price every 6 hours. Â It's just 0.14% of the original price. LOL

Well, Dark Embers is going to continue to work on earning gil to purchase a Free Company house, though we're going to probably go for a Medium once we go take a look and compare them to the large ones.

We will also likely be waiting until the 90 day mark, unless we have some sort of miraculous funding drive efforts happen. Perhaps we should consider this a more long term project?

I don't see how the project can work at all, tbh. Â With these prices, a lot of FCs are going to be cut out of the ability to get land at all.
