If I am being honest, Erik reminds me of Optimus Prime circa 1980's. Erik is the gentle soul of a poet, trapped in the hardened body of a warrior. He fights for all people, even if officially he can only fight for some.

Solis: Cross of Goku (DBZ), Naruto, Luffy (One Piece), Natsu (Fairy Tail) and Gintoki (Gintama) [Basically shonen heroes lol]

Sakura: Rena Ryugu from Higurashi, in both her personalities, albeit not insane. Light personality could also be Nagisa.

Max: Shinpachi from Gintama, being the straight man of the five.

Niklas: Katsura from Gintama along with Tomoya from Clannad and Gray from Fairy Tail (without stripping habit lol)

Rena: Kagura from Gintama combined with Son Goku from the Saiyuki anime.
