Give enough information for your opponent(s) to respond to and always address what they are doing.
Take blows and be affected by attacks.
So now you can RP, what about winning and loosing?
I prefer to let the RP resolve it but you need some trust and raport to achieve that.
Generally I have seen some form of RNG used to determine the outcome, just make it believable in the RP and make it enjoyable.Â
Also, loosing gets the best RP imo.
