A lot of times when I have to log off for dinner or such, I come up with various IC justifications. Sometimes she's adjusting the aetheric attunement or the physical structure of her various staves and rods. Occasionally she's engrossed in a book or doing research. Most often, she's called off to consult with someone on a magical matter, whether it's the Foreign Levy or an individual or family by way of a levemete.
That doesn't cover the times when I'm regularly not on, though. A usual day in the life for L'yhta goes something like this. First, she wakes up around sunrise and goes for a swim, then takes tea and fruit either at the Ivory Tower or the Bismarck. Then, it's off to explore one of her interests -- trying out new spells as part of her attempts to extend magic theory, toying around with the various relics she's discovered (she has a "singing" sword she picked up some time ago that's her current interest), training in swordplay, or even teaching a lesson or two on basic geometries at the arcanists' guild. When she has an apprentice, this is when they do formal lessons. Lunch is usually street food unless she's at the Tower, in which case it's whatever Volkido's brought by that day. Adventure time for L'yhta is in the evenings, where she'll often "field test" what she's been working on during the day by delving into ruins and "interesting" places, taking on tasks through the levemetes, dragging her apprentice if any into extreme danger, and so on. Tea, sweet things, and unending enthusiasm keep her running (though she's been known to steal a nap after lunch, preferably on the beach or with the window open to put a sun spot on her bed). L'yhta typically goes to bed when I do, with her stuffed qiqirn and chocobo on her bedside table and preferably someone to snuggle up with.
